Intl. Partnership for Microbicides: 2008 Annual Report: Cover Elements
The International Partnership for Microbicides seeks to prevent HIV transmission by developing a safe and effective microbicide for use by women in developing nations. With its Annual Report the organization wished to highlight its tangible progress toward this goal while addressing the difficulty of the task ahead. For its cover, IPM chose a metaphorical, illustrative treatment that subtly incorporated science-related photographic imagery. This approach allowed a number of thematic elements to be combined into a viable, visually compelling concept.
